Meet CU musicians and feel the cultural pulse of the University
In this autumn, you are invited to visit the Art Museum and encounter various CU musicians here, sharing joyful vibes through live musical adventures.
Venue: Lee Hysan Atrium, Art Museum

12:30 - 13:00: David Tong
Listen as the recorder comes alive in Tong Shee Yiu’s hands.
Currently 23 years old, Tong Shee Yiu is a Hong Kong-based recorder player. He began his early training with Erikson Ting before continuing his studies with Henry Ho. Since 2022, he has been making regular trips to study with Dutch recorder player Heiko ter Schegget. With a deep passion for early music, Tong is particularly drawn to the acoustic and uneven tonal qualities of Baroque instruments and is dedicated to applying historical fingering techniques in his performances. His concerts include Miraculum Manor, All Bach and While the Sun Heading Home. Currently studying medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with full funding from the Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship, he was named an Outstanding Student of CUHK in 2025.

13:30 - 14:30: NA Band
NA Band—Where diverse genres collide, creating your unique soundtrack on campus.
The New Asia Band Society aims to promote diverse music genres and styles, including J-pop, R&B, Jazz, and more, to bring a wider variety of musical choices to New Asia and CUHK students, foster their interest in music, and gather like-minded musicians to learn from each other, grow together, and provide CUHK students with opportunities to engage with band music, promoting band culture.

15:00 - 16:30: IN TOTAL
Only when every note and every rhythm is heard does it become IN TOTAL — come experience music in its purest passion.
IN TOTAL is a band of current students from the CUHK music department. Eager to explore mainstream popular music across diverse languages and genres, they debuted in April 2025 at the Street Show, where they received recognition. They also performed at events such as the 2025 Postgraduate Association High Table Dinner.
They believe that the fruits of teamwork are more substantial than those of any individual, and we all matter, in total.
